Here’s a snap-shot of Charlie’s little 2.0 sail! Fantastic size for an 8 year old to start having a play on the water. He managed to get the sail up out of the water… Hold the start position… And even sail a few meters forward before a rock n roll head-first dismount! Fun, fun, fun. Andyc
Saw on the internet this morning that someone was giving away a windsurfing board hoped that there was a knats whisker of a chance it might be still there, so I took a ride over there, unfortunately it was gone but I did find this one on the side of the road. it would be fun to give it a try, ancient technology!
Most people take an ‘after work’ beer…. we prefer to head to the beach and hit the water! The gears in the car, constantly checking the weather developments through out the day, then we’ll pick a spot depending on the direction of the wind. As you can see from the picture there are hundreds of spots to choose from!
We are just south of central Stockholm… so normally choose a spot 10-20mins from work. Lets see where we end up! AndyC
My father rang me up and told me that he’d seen somthing fun, I wasnt sure if this was gonna be cool or embarrassing I think i have come down on the side of cool, it certainly goes fast enough!
Here is them gybing it /Neil
My wetsuit boots disapeared on the way to the beach today, had to improvise, the good news is that neoprene gloves make a pretty good emergency pair of boots, a snug fit, over the front portion of the foot the toes find a cosy fit in the fingers and the major part of the foot is protected, however because hands do not resemble feet the heels are exposed but it was not a problem in the water. Maneuverability on the board is restriced slightly as sometimes the fingers which and long and are only supported by the toes are susceptible to getting folded under the ball of the foot which means when jibing the foot can slip. Otherwise it is a great solution, far better than freezing my feet off. /Neil Smith
Had great fun this morning down at Dalarö. It was only around 5-6ms, but managed to get a few fast reaches in the bag! So nice to be back on the water… Beats ice anyway! Anyhow, now we know its not so cold I think we’ll be hitting the water on a regular basis. Here’s a snap-shot my custom carbon board and my 7.0… Perfect combination for flying across the bay! Andyc
Gave the landboard an outing, immediately the wind dropped 😦 however there were some gusts and I can tell its going to be fast, just I little wind got it wheeling along, good thing I got something with adjustable shocks, I can feel that it would be easy to get in to a speed wobble, the rolling resistance us a bit high, the tyres need more air. /Neil
